Microsoft Collaborates with Harvard and MIT to Launch Biological World Model Project Quine, Screening Potential Anti-Cancer Compounds in a Weekend
The Microsoft Research team has collaborated with Harvard University and the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard to launch an experimental multi-modal AI research system called Project Quine, which brings the concept of a "biological research world model" into practical application for the first time. Positioned as a biological research world model, it aims to bridge computational biology modeling with wet lab experiments. The core is a joint representation world model covering genomics, proteins, chemistry, cell states, and biological imaging, along with interactive components.
